# Lumenaza API

> Lumenaza is an energy SaaS platform whose REST API makes it easy to manage renewable energy consumers, producers, contracts, billing, and metering data.

Lumenaza is a cloud-based energy SaaS platform built for innovative companies operating in the renewable energy market. Through the Lumenaza API, you can fully manage the lifecycle of both electricity consumers and producers — from quoting, initial registration and onboarding through handling of availabilities, metering data, and billing. Whether you are onboarding a household consumer to a dynamic tariff or a solar producer to your direct marketing offering, every operation is available programmatically via a single, consistent REST API surface.

## Environments

Lumenaza provides two environments. Use the test environment during development — it is fully isolated from production data.

| Environment | Base URL |
| - | - |
| **Production** | `https://api.lumenaza.de/` |

All API endpoints are served under the `/v3/` path prefix, for example `https://api.lumenaza.de/v3/consumers/`.

## Authentication

The API uses the **OAuth 2.0 client credentials** flow. You exchange your `client_id` and `client_secret` for a short-lived bearer token, then include that token in the `Authorization` header of every subsequent request. Contact Lumenaza to obtain credentials for your organisation.

<Note>
  All requests must be made over HTTPS. Plain HTTP connections are rejected. Always store your `client_secret` securely and never expose it in client-side code or public repositories.
</Note>
